Kelantan International Kite Festival (Pesta Wau)

Held annually every May in beach in Tumpat town of Kelantan, the Kelantan International Kite Festival (also named ‘Pesta Wau’ in Malay) is a 5-day event that attracts locals and foreign tourists alike. Witness the beauty of the traditions as the kites featured in this event is traditional moon kites called ‘wau’, exclusively in Kelantan. There will also be a food festival, cultural events, including ‘dikir barat’ (a Malay style group singing), and souvenir shops.
